I love being a tourist in my own town. It’s always fascinating to visit hidden places and historic gems.. Especially in New England. I loved this fun and floral weekend outfit. I paired this dress with my favorite Angela & Roi Morning Cross-Body, which supports breast cancer research.

Yesterday was the rainiest of days, so obviously I’m going to celebrate that by wearing my usual all black from head to toe. I love this jersey and mesh not-your-average maxi. I adore the see-through sections of the dress an how they highlight the best places. Paired with a pair of cutout heels from Zara, this outfit is a winner year round.

For my birthday, I needed a simple, elegant outfit that would be versatile for whatever my day would bring to me. In the morning, I knew I would be volunteering at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and that I would need something a little more reserved; so I coupled this dress with a pair of studded ballet flats from Target. In my purse, I kept a pair of Zara heels that would transform this outfit from hospital acceptable to my day-look; this was perfect for a few cocktails at a fancy bar on Top of the Hub and burgers at Wahlbergers on the Hingham Seaport.

Photos from the rest of my day:
I woke up a beautiful set-up made with love and care from my amazing boyfriend. It was complete with roses, party hats, banners, balloons, party poppers, and even pin-the-tail on the Donkey. These are all things that remind me of how beautiful my childhood was. I also got birthday cards that had potty humor on them. No big surprise there.
In the morning, I went to my usual tuesday shift at Dana Farber Cancer Center. I’ve been volunteering here for almost three years and this was the first time I celebrated my birthday with my fellow volunteers. It was such a beautiful day. There were 4 other birthdays including a patient’s, who turned out to be complete with his chemotherapy. It was so uplifting to see them celebrating not only their birthday, but also the end to their battle with cancer. I couldn’t be more thankful and happy to be able to spend my special day with those who are positive influences to me and make my life more meaningful.
My boyfriend took me to the Top of the Hub in Boston’s Prudential building for a couple cocktails and an amazing view. I’ve only seen the Boston skyline from this view at night, so it was super humbling to see it during the day.
Our next stop was a quick bite to eat at the Wahlberg’s Restaurant on the Hingham harbor. Wahlbergers is such an amazing place to grab a bite to eat and to hang out with great company. I can’t explain how they make their tots so amazing, but I can definitely recommend them to anyone who comes here. This is a great hidden gem on the south shore. If you haven’t had a chance to visit, I suggest you do so ASAP.
After lunch, we hung out by the Hingham waterfront and watched these super weird birds. They were like some weird cross breed between seal lions and ducks. Needless to say, if anyone knows what kind of birds these are, let me know, because I want one… or five.
Overall, my 25th Birthday was a success. It’s hard to think that I’m already a quarter of a century old. I am thankful that I got to spend my day with those who mean the most to me. As you get older, you realize that it’s not about the quantity of people you spend your life with, but the quality is most important. I have a few close friends and family (and AMAZING puppy) that I feel so blessed and lucky to have in my life… and that is the greatest and only gift that I could ever ask for.
PS— I’m seeing LORDE (insert ‘happy poop face’ and ‘party hat’ emojis)

My favorite part of summer, is escaping my always-wearing-black-clothing self. Living by the beach is a blessing and I love the vibe of summer in New England. Often times simplicity is the better option. Try pairing a simple crochet mini dress with bright accessories. I am loving the Morning Cross-Body Collection by Angela & Roi. Each one of these beautiful handbags is made from vegan leather and supports medical research.

This is a great holiday look for under $100. Looking stylish doesn’t always have to break your wallet. I found this dress at Marshalls/TJX for $10, the heels were a fall find at Forever21 for $28, and the accessories were bought at Charming Charlie’s for $50. I believe that you can never go wrong with winter whites, and this look has it all. A simple way to dress up at simple white dress is by adding big accessories and of course… awesome shoes! I will be posting more holiday look ideas in the coming days.
